United Intranet Login Problems.
I cannot log in to my UAL United Intranet account. What is the problem?
- The system could be down for maintenance. You can check the website on www.isitdownrightnow.com/flyingtogether.ual.com.html, to see if the website is down for everyone, and not just for you.
- Check that your internet connection is working properly.
- Check that your keyboard CAPS LOCK button is OFF, as passwords are case sensitive.
- Try a variation of your password, with different upper and lower case letters. You could be remembering your password incorrectly.
- If you copy and paste your User ID and Password from a document or email, make sure that you don’t copy a “SPACE” by mistake, as a space count as a character.
- Use only your United user ID and associated password to login.
- Your United user ID begins with U,N,V, or I. Legacy Continental co-workers should no longer use their legacy ID.

Why is logging on to the intranet so difficult? It is truly an effort. You guys are smart…too smart. People need to be able to use this, not uber computer geniuses…people.
Ditto to all of the above user entries! Shoulda left well enough alone as there wasn’t a problem with it!

I am an 81-year-old retiree living in Thailand out of financial necessity. Nevertheless, my UAL flying benefits resulted in my domestic partner, often listed as “wife,” and I making all the trips necessary to Scotland and England to write the first-ever Edgar Allan Poe Biography of his Scottish Connections. She was a life-time Elementary Grammar School Classroom teacher in Foster City, whose knowledge of spelling and journalism skills were essential to my 20 year project. As a J.D., I self-published the 885 page, 2 volume work in 2013. My partner died in 2016 of a 7 year affliction with cancer. The point here is that with all the password obligations to get into UAL, and everywhere, every time I come online for a flight, my dyslexia is a nightmare (serious obstacle to work over and around) without her. Dyslexia is called “word blindness,” by the British Army. But it is more serious than that. I also do not have a memory for words and numbers, so must write everything down to type it online. Today I spent half an hour just trying to update my UAL access password. But now it’s good for a year! I am grateful to UAL and staff for my flying benefits, which would have costs more than I ever make, and would have been a bar to this A&P Line Mechanic publishing our internationally recognized Poe Biography, not possible by the thousands of Ph. D. Professors of English, and other scholars, because they do not know what I do.
